The Berkeley-Darfur Stove is an advanced, high quality, metal (steel), fuel-efficient wood burning stove. It is mass-produced through high quality control procedures during manufacture and assembly. These measures are taken to keep costs down and to maintain optimal stove dimensions. As a result, this stove is believed to perform more consistently, transfer heat more efficiently and have a longer product life than the much cheaper improved mud stoves that dominate the market in Darfur. The stove is manufactured as flat-kits and then shipped to Sudan for assembly by our local partner in Darfur.
