World Food Programme (WFP)
A series of controlled cooking tests (CCTs) were undertaken at the Kakuma Refugee Camp in February 2013 to evaluate the performance of fuel-efficient stoves provided by the World Food Programme (WFP). The Kakuma Refugee Camp was an ideal location to conduct the CCTs as it provided the evaluators with an opportunity to collect information from three different groups – Somali and Sudanese refugees and the Turkana host community – each with different cultures, cooking practices, and cuisines.
