Description

This report summarizes the findings of a review of the implementation of the Safe Access to Firewood and alternative Energy (SAFE) project conducted in Karamoja (Uganda) in October 2011. The review stems from WFP’s continuous commitment to ensure safe access to cooking fuel to beneficiaries, with a special focus on displacement contexts and environmentally degraded areas. After almost two years since its beginning, the SAFE project in Karamoja brings about lessons that will significantly contribute to more effective and efficient implementation of the SAFE project globally.
