Description

In this 2012 factsheet, the World Food Programme provides an update on the SAFE issues and initiatives in Haiti. There was environmental degredation of Haiti's forest due to use of charcoal as an energy source prior to the earthquake After the earthquake in 2010 the availability of fuelwood or charcoal has become significantly decreased leading to the issues around energy access becoming more acute.
