Project Description

The Banco stove is made by refugees from clay with UNHCR support. The Banco stoves have high acceptance among users. The stove has an average lifetime of 1 year and is 30% more fuel efficient than a three-stone fire, but it requires frequent maintenance. The project took place in Am Nabak Camp ID 14, Amboko Camp ID 11, Bredjing Camp ID 7, Djabal Camp ID 12, Dosseye Camp ID 85, Farchana Camp ID 8, Gaga Camp ID 9, Gondje Camp ID 84, Goz Amer Camp ID 13, Iridimi Camp ID 15, Kounoungou Camp ID 16, Mile Camp ID 17, Moula Camp ID 88, Moyo Camp ID 89, Oure Cassoni Camp ID 18, Touloum Camp ID 19, and Treguine Camp ID 10 in Farchana, Goré, Maro, Goz Beida, Iriba, Moyen Chari Province, Nya-Pendé Province, Selamat of Chad
