Project Description

Oxfam India provided 3,070 solar lights for flood-affected families in Jammu and Kashmir, while Church's Auxiliary for Social Action (CASA) provided 1,500 lights. The project succesfully provided families affected by flooding in Jammuand Kashmir with access to reliable lighting. A total of 3,070 solar light units were purchased by Oxfam India at a total cost of $70,000 (average cost of $22.80 per unit), and a total of 1,500 solar light units were purchased by CASA at a total cost of $35,000 (avgeragecost of $23.33 per unit).
