Project Description

The Forests National Corporation (FNC) led a distribution project of LPG stoves in Eastern Sudan. The primary lesson learnt from this project is that the refugees require more training to use the stoves. In addition to this the stoves have a high initial cost, and the LPG cylinders are difficult to refill as the fuel distribution centers are located far from the camps. The locations of the project were in Abuda Camp ID 67, Fau 5 Camp ID 68, Girba Camp ID 70, Kilo 26 Camp ID 71, Shagrabs Camp ID 72, Um Gargur Camp ID 73, and Wad Sherife Camp ID 74 in Geizira, Kassala, Eastern Sudan.
