Project Description
In Juba, Sudan, Oxfam has a charcoal distribution project which has thus far reached over 1,800 people in the camp who lack fuel to cook. Part of this emergency food security program is also distribution of fuel efficient stoves. Oxfam is currently supporting people affected by the conflict in South Sudan in December 2013, which left thousands dead and displaced thousands more. People are supported with clean water, sanitation and emergency food security. Oxfam has reached more than 180,000 people in South Sudan with water, health and sanitation equipment. In Juba, the charcoal distribution project has thus far reached over 1,800 people to provide fuel for cooking. The project is also distributing fuel efficient stoves.
